Our Welcoming Rooms
Rev. Patty Hanneman
Music: Paul Baerman, oboe, Kate Lewis, piano

What ideas of relationality can promote a thriving gathering space for us on Sunday mornings? What is progressive religion’s concept of creating sacred space for one another? Within a house of hope, there needs to breathe a sense of the Holy, a response to the Spirit that dwells among us as we gather. How do elements of ritual, art, music, and silence help shape our religious community? How can we insure an inclusive atmosphere – in our worship, classrooms, and other gathering spaces.  What does it mean to practice “radical hospitality?”

Pivot & Connect!
Rev. Jacqueline Brett
Music: Selected music from the ERUUF music archives.
On this Sunday we celebrate ERUUF's annual Connections Fair, recognizing our need to "Pivot" in order to "Connect" as we bring our beloved Fair to today's worship service. We'll hear from leaders of key ministry areas, and you'll find out how you can get involved in ERUUF's many offerings and why it's more important now than ever that we sustain our connections with one another when it might be tempting to pull back. We'll also celebrate this Sunday's start of the RE Program for children and youth! Visit the Connections Fair's Pivot & Connect website for an advance look at groups and activities you're invited to connect with.

Jazz for Juneteenth
Rev. Jacqueline Brett
Music: North Carolina Central University Jazz Studies Department
On this Sunday we are joined by musicians from North Carolina Central University's Jazz Studies Department for a unique service commemorating Juneteenth, filmed outdoors on location at ERUUF's campus. Observed by African Americans since 1866, Juneteenth (also known as Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, or Liberation Day) is the oldest national celebration of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This special worship service was made possible with a grant from the Eno River Fellowship Foundation.

Transformative Change
Rev. Jacqueline Brett
Music: Kate Lewis and Kate Saylor
We are not the same people we were a year ago. While this might be said of any one-year period, it is especially true as we assess our collective experiences of the past year—and the experiences that continue! How are we being changed by all of it? In this service, we'll explore how transformative change occurs: when seemingly disparate events result in reactions that cause something new to emerge. What might be emerging for us? Our pledge campaign continues in its second week.

Giving Voice to Grief
Rev. Deborah Cayer
Music: ERUUF's ministers and music directors will lead this service.

This morning we'll acknowledge the losses, large and small, that we've all experienced these last several weeks. We'll share brief words from our members and friends (with their permission of course) about their experiences of loss and grief. We'll end with affirmation about how we're going on individually and together.
